The vision of the Alberta Perinatal Health Program
is for optimal health for expectant mothers and the infants
that are born each year in Alberta.
The mission of the Alberta Perinatal Health Program is to
promote maternal health, positive birth outcomes and healthy infancy
by providing provincial leadership and enhanced support to health regions
health professionals, Alberta Health and Wellness and other stakeholders.
The final Consensus Statement on Healthy
Mothers, Healthy Babies: How to Prevent Low Birthweight has been released.
The Consensus Statement will also be published in the International Journal of Technology in Health Care.
